Attribution for FTMO Futures works per Evaluation account.
When a trader you referred buys an FTMO Futures Evaluation, that account is attributed to you. You earn commission on the first subscription payment, every subscription renewal and every Account Reset on that account, for as long as the trader’s 12-month commission period is running. Any further Evaluation the same trader buys is attributed to you automatically as well, with no new link or code needed, unless they enter another affiliate’s code at checkout.
Affiliate codes take priority over affiliate links at checkout. If a trader enters another affiliate’s code when buying a new Evaluation, that new account is attributed to the other affiliate. Accounts already attributed to you are not affected and stay with you.
Only a code can do this. A trader who already has an FTMO account is not re-attributed by clicking another affiliate’s link, because links attribute a trader once, when their FTMO account is created. For a trader who already had an account before, another affiliate’s code affects that one Futures account only and does not change who the trader is attributed to for FTMO Challenges. A brand-new trader is different: if their very first purchase is an FTMO Futures Evaluation bought with your code, that code pairs them to you as a trader, so their later purchases, FTMO Challenges included, are attributed to you too.
If a trader buys a new Evaluation without entering any code, the account is attributed to the affiliate who originally referred them.
Attribution is decided only at the moment a new Evaluation account is purchased. Renewals and Account Resets always follow the account they belong to and cannot be moved to another affiliate.
Example: a trader you referred buys a $50K Evaluation. You earn commission on all its renewals and Account Resets. Six months later the same trader buys a $150K Evaluation and enters another affiliate’s code. The $150K account is attributed to the other affiliate. The $50K account and everything it produces stay with you until the trader’s 12-month commission period ends.
This applies to FTMO Futures only. FTMO Challenge referrals work as before: the trader is attributed to the affiliate whose link they used, and you earn a one-time commission on their first Challenge purchase.
