FTMO Futures is sold as a recurring monthly Evaluation subscription rather than a one-time purchase, so it pays differently than FTMO Challenges. The mechanics below are the same in the FTMO and FTMO US programmes.
Recurring subscription commission. You earn a commission on every monthly Evaluation subscription payment your referred trader makes, at your subscription rate for your current level.
When the subscription ends. The Evaluation subscription is charged on the trader’s billing anniversary for as long as it stays active, and it ends in one of these ways:
- They pass the Evaluation. The subscription is cancelled automatically and no further payments are charged, because the Sim-Funded Account and the Live Funded Account are not subscription products. Commission on that trader’s subscription stops at that point.
- They cancel. Billing stops at the end of the period already paid for.
- A payment fails. Access is paused, and if it is not resolved within the grace period the account is closed.
Futures Account Resets. If a referred trader fails their Evaluation, they can purchase an Account Reset to start again. Every Account Reset earns you commission at half your subscription rate for that level.
The 12-month commission period. You earn FTMO Futures commissions on each referred trader for 12 months from the date of that trader’s first FTMO Futures Evaluation purchase, whichever affiliate it was attributed to, or none. The period is counted per trader, not per account: it starts once, with the trader’s very first Futures purchase, and does not restart when they buy further Evaluations, use a different affiliate code, or are referred by someone else. During the period you earn on all subscription renewals and Account Resets on accounts attributed to you. After 12 months, no further commissions are credited for that trader on any account.
Both subscription and Account Reset commissions count toward your monthly commission total for levelling. Recurring subscription commissions and Account Resets apply to FTMO Futures only.
