React Developer

Take the opportunity to become part of the rapidly growing startup FTMO.com. We are looking for a new team member to develop our applications in React. The ideal candidate is a React/TypeScript professional who wants to be part of a meaningful project with visible results on a global scale. A strong interest in trading and financial markets will be a big plus.

What will be your agenda?

You will primarily work on our client portal, which is used by hundreds of thousands of traders. We are currently undergoing a phase of technological and design upgrades, and we're adding new functionality.
Historically, the frontend was developed in PHP, and we haven't fully migrated yet, so from time to time, you'll need to fix some issues in SCSS/pure TypeScript. Experience with Docker and WSL (if you're on Windows) will be valuable here.
You'll work with a lot of charts, trading data, and WebSocket technology.
You'll also be conducting code reviews for other team members and participating in ceremonies like demos and grooming (no worries, we don’t do Scrum).
FTMO is more punk than corporate. There’s a lot of work, and we have big plans. Don’t expect to receive perfectly outlined tasks; instead, proactivity and independence are crucial.

What do we expect from you?

We are developing a SPA client portal in React with TypeScript, utilizing automatically generated REST clients, a strongly-typed router, linters, and Prettier. For styling, we use a combination of Tailwind & SCSS.
We use GitLab CI/CD, have tests, linters, and automated deployments. We maintain several internal libraries with automatic releases based on Conventional Commits. We've integrated Sentry and proactively fix user issues.
Our designer maintains components in Figma and actively collaborates with the team. We strive to keep consistent naming in both Figma and React, and we are currently working on integrating Storybook with Figma. Colors and typography are automatically generated from Figma for Tailwind and SCSS.
Most of our components have written stories in Storybook, simplifying work and enabling generated snapshot tests.
