What happens during the contract expiry?

Futures contracts have a fixed expiry date. As a contract approaches expiry, trading activity moves to the next active contract month.

Because FTMO Futures rules do not allow holding positions past the market close, there is no need for manual account rolling or transitioning open trades. You simply close your positions for the day as usual, and start trading the new active contract during your next session. Expiry dates and the current active contract are always displayed on your trading platform.

Note that the liquidity and trading conditions can become volatile as a contract nears its expiry, so it is good practice to monitor your positions closely around these dates.
