Trading Objectives are the key rules that define when an account is violated or when the Evaluation is considered passed. All our Trading Objectives are described in detail on the Trading Objectives and Rules page, along with information about subscription payments and Account Reset.
Violation of the Trading Objectives
The Consistency Rule cannot be violated; it can always be passed later by generating additional profit.
What happens after the violation of Loss Limits (Maximum Drawdown and Daily Loss Limit) depends on whether you breach a soft or a hard Loss Limit.
- Soft violation: The platform closes your open positions and locks the account for the rest of the trading day. The account reopens for the next session, and you can continue trading.
- Hard violation: If you breach a hard risk rule, the platform automatically closes all your open positions, and the account is considered failed, and you lose the account.
After a hard violation on an Evaluation account, you have two options to continue:
- Purchase an Account Reset, which resets your account values, so you can start the Evaluation again under the same subscription at a reduced fee compared to the standard subscription payment. You can find more about the reset fee on the Trading Objectives and Rules page, in the Fees section. There is no limit on the number of resets you can purchase.
- Keep your subscription active. On your next renewal, we automatically issue a fresh Evaluation account.
You cannot reset a Sim-Funded Account. A hard violation there means you lose the account, and if you wish to continue, you have to purchase a new Evaluation.
