After you become an FTMO Trader, you trade on a Sim-Funded Account. This is an account with simulated funds, but with quotes based on the real market directly from regulated exchanges. You never actually trade on live markets at this stage – yet you are eligible for real monetary Payouts based on your results.
A small number of top-performing traders may later be moved to a Live Funded Account, which is a real-money account, where futures trading is done with actual capital. Please note that progression to a Live Funded Account is solely at FTMO’s discretion.
