Trading updates – 8 Dec 2022 edition
The latest MetaTrader 5 mobile app for Android (build 3519) contains a known bug where open positions may not be updated for prolonged periods. For this reason, if you open a position(s) and view it, the result may not be moving as usual and you may get the impression that the app is frozen. Please be aware this is not a case but an open position display error.
We strongly recommend not updating the mobile app till the issue is corrected. If you have already updated your MT5 Android app to build 3519, we recommend not using it till MetaQuotes fixes the app.
If you do not have an alternative MetaTrader 5 platform (desktop/webtrader) and will not be able to trade till the application is fixed, please contact us at [email protected] and we can freeze your account in the meanwhile and extend it on reactivation to compensate for the missed trading days.
We have reported the issue to MetaQuotes and hope for a quick resolution. Although this issue is outside of the sphere of our direct influence, we apologise for the inconvenience. An Update will be released here as soon as we have a confirmation that the bug has been fixed.
Due to scheduled maintenance, on Saturday, 10 December 2022, all platforms will be unavailable for trading from 2:00 am to 7:00 am and from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Kindly be reminded that on top of this, cTrader also has different trading hours during the weekend. Therefore make sure to manage your trades accordingly.

On Friday, 16 December 2022, DX.f will roll to the new future expiry. In order to facilitate the process and protect the accounts from possible liquidity shortages and temporary price spikes, regardless of the account stage (FTMO Challenge, Verification, or FTMO Account) or the account type (Normal, Swing), traders are required to close their positions on the symbol before 9:00 am. Trading will be enabled again at 10:05 am on the same day. Eventual positions left open after 9:00 am will be closed at the prevailing market price and pending orders will be deleted. All times are expressed in the MetaTrader server time (GMT+2/CET+1).
MetaTrader 4 and 5 mobile applications developed by MetaQuotes have been removed for new download from the iOS App store. The existing already downloaded mobile apps continue to function normally. Unfortunately, this decision as taken by Apple is directly linked to MetaQuotes, and FTMO has no control over the development of the case. We recommend that traders who are affected by this situation use the desktop version of these platforms, alternatively the MT4/5 webtrader. Platform access can be found on the Login Credentials tab within your Account MetriX. It is also possible that updating the iOS to a new version might cause the non-functionality of the downloaded application, yet this is not confirmed. At this stage, we have no official information or estimated duration on when this could be potentially resolved.
Overnight rollover swaps are subject to regular changes and adjustments, reflecting, among other things, interest rate differentials and dividend adjustments. If you are holding positions overnight, please be reminded that it is your responsibility to check these swaps in the contract specification for each symbol, and to adjust (if needed) and manage your positions accordingly.
