Trading updates – 19 Jan 2023 edition<\/h1>\n

Due to the Lunar New Year<\/strong> on 22 January 2023, the HK50.cash<\/strong> will close early at 9:00 pm <\/strong>on Friday 20 January <\/strong>2023<\/strong>, will be closed on Monday 23 January<\/strong> and Tuesday 24 January<\/strong>, and will reopen on Thursday 26 January<\/strong> at 3:15 am<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

All times are expressed in the MetaTrader platform time (GMT+2 \/ CET+1).<\/p>\n

On Thursday, 26 January 2023, NATGAS.f<\/strong> will roll to the new future expiry. In order to facilitate the process and protect the accounts from possible liquidity shortages and temporary price spikes, regardless of the account stage (FTMO Challenge, Verification, or FTMO Account) or the account type (Normal, Swing), traders are required to close their positions on the symbol before 9:00 am<\/strong>. Trading will be enabled again at 10:05<\/strong> am<\/strong> on the same day. Eventual positions left open after 9:00 am will be closed at the prevailing market price and pending orders will be deleted. All times are expressed in the MetaTrader server time (GMT+2\/CET+1).<\/p>\n

\n

Starting from 1 January 2023<\/strong>, there has been a permanent change in the trading hours of instrument GER40.cash<\/strong>. Namely, on Fridays<\/strong>, the instrument will from now on close earlier<\/strong>, which is at 22:50 MetaTrader platform time (GMT+2 \/ CET+1)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

cTrader<\/strong> desktop platform, version 4.1 and older might experience connection issues. Please reinstall the platform or use the webtrader on ct.ftmo.com.<\/a><\/p>\n

MetaTrader 4<\/strong> and 5<\/strong> mobile applications developed by MetaQuotes have been removed for new download from the iOS App store<\/strong>. The existing already downloaded mobile apps continue to function normally. Unfortunately, this decision as taken by Apple is directly linked to MetaQuotes, and FTMO has no control over the development of the case. We recommend that traders who are affected by this situation use the desktop version of these platforms, alternatively the MT4\/5 webtrader. Platform access can be found on the Login Credentials tab within your Account MetriX. It is also possible that updating the iOS to a new version might cause the non-functionality of the downloaded application, yet this is not confirmed. At this stage, we have no official information or estimated duration on when this could be potentially resolved.<\/p>\n

Overnight rollover swaps<\/strong> are subject to regular changes and adjustments, reflecting, among other things, interest rate differentials and dividend adjustments. If you are holding positions overnight, please be reminded that it is your responsibility to check these swaps in the contract specification for each symbol, and to adjust (if needed) and manage your positions accordingly. Traders are advised to pay extra caution while trading during these times. Unfortunately, at this time, we are not allowed to process payments to regions of Donetsk, Luhansk, and Crimea in Ukraine<\/strong> and our clients from there, as per the latest sanctions imposed in connection with the war in Ukraine. There are also sanctions targeting some Russian banks and high-profile individuals. We are not allowed to process any payouts to clients and banks on the sanction list. Payouts to our clients from\/in the subject locations, or being subject to the sanctions list, will be possible once the imposed sanctions are lifted. Crypto payouts are included in the restrictions.
