In this article, we talk about developing a winning attitude and the importance of being aware of what is going on in your head while trading. Mindfulness is certainly an important aspect of trading psychology.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

You need to be aware of your emotions, and be able to take control over them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Emotional regulation is very important, but it <\/span>only gets<\/span> you to the door of <\/span>your<\/span> mind, and <\/span>what you want to do is<\/span> look <\/span>inside<\/b> of your mind and understand the context.<\/span><\/p>\n

You need to <\/span>comprehend<\/span> that your thoughts lead to your emotions, <\/span>your emotions lead to your actions, and your actions lead to your results.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After proving yourself right over and over again, your thoughts become your beliefs. Beliefs then become automatic thoughts that drive your behaviour.<\/span><\/p>\n

Try to stop now and<\/span>\u00a0concentrate exclusively on yourself.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What are your thoughts, beliefs and emotions while trading? <\/span><\/p>\n

Imagine your worst trade.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now imagine your best one.<\/span><\/p>\n

What were your thoughts when you started? Then what were your thoughts <\/span>during<\/span> the process? What about your emotions? <\/span>Have they<\/span> impacted your trading decisions afterwards?<\/span><\/p>\n

Watch yourself<\/h2>\n

You need to observe <\/span>how you<\/span> respond to <\/span>certain<\/span> circumstances.<\/span><\/p>\n

You don\u2019t have to react all the tim<\/span>e,<\/span> you <\/span>may<\/span> just step back, breathe, and observe.<\/span><\/p>\n

You don\u2019t have to take the beliefs that you once held and project them on to the markets because what you discover very quickly (as an observer) <\/span>is that<\/span> you don\u2019t have beliefs, you don\u2019t have thoughts \u2013 THEY HAVE YOU.<\/span><\/p>\n

The capacity to think about our thinking and reflect on our actions before we react to situations is called self-awareness.<\/span><\/p>\n

A<\/span> self-aware trader stands back from his or her reactions, notices his or her thoughts and feelings, observes the tendency to act upon <\/span>them<\/span>, and then steps back to decide <\/span>on<\/span> the<\/span>ir<\/span> best <\/span>action plan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Look at <\/span>your<\/span> emotions, regulate them. <\/span>What you really need to understand is<\/span> that you are not your emotions, you are not your thoughts, beliefs \u2013 so be aware of that. Recognize that your awareness and your thoughts\/beliefs are not the same. Separate yourself <\/span>from them.<\/span> Become an observer.\u00a0<\/span>Develop <\/span>your<\/span> skill<\/span> to observe <\/span>a<\/span>s that is what makes the real difference. <\/span><\/p>\n

Reconstruct your mind<\/h2>\n

The ability to recognise tha<\/span>t<\/span> your thoughts and you are not the sam<\/span>e<\/span> allows you to realize that you can reorganize your mind into the higher functioning \u2013 and that\u2019s so powerful \u2013 and that is the way how to achieve the change you\u2019ve been striving for.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ability to see what is inside your mind makes you so much stronger<\/span>. Because not being mindful is one <\/span>aspect<\/span> that\u2019s <\/span>been limiting your performance.<\/span><\/p>\n

You need to recognize that all of these self-limiting beliefs are not true and they are not <\/span>a<\/span> part of you. You <\/span>can learn how to<\/span> easily get rid of them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You just need to recognize them first, realize that they\u2019re not you, but rather<\/span> an organisation of the self \u2013 that involved before you could even think.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And now it\u2019s time to look at it, to deconstruct it, reconstruct it \u2013 <\/span>that is the treasure mind.<\/span><\/p>\n

In neurobiology we would say that you do not see reality, you do not live in reality<\/span>,<\/span> your brain takes the data from all our <\/span>sensory systems<\/span> and creates a map, a virtual simulation.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

That is how you <\/span>experience<\/span> the world, that is what you <\/span>see<\/span>, that is what you <\/span>see<\/span> in the markets. You see the effectiveness of that virtual simulation ev<\/span>ery single day.<\/span><\/p>\n

So pleas<\/span>e<\/span> be kind to yourself and make your mind a beautiful place. Believe in yourself, clap for yourself during the process. Step back when<\/span> you encounter any<\/span> negative or <\/span>i<\/span>ntense thoughts<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Do not let them impact your decisions, your long term goals.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jus<\/span>t observe and trust the process.<\/span><\/p>\n

If your mind remain<\/span>s<\/span> calm and you <\/span>follow<\/span> your strategy, everything is gonna be fine.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Trading Jounal<\/h2>\n

A great tool for improving your awareness is journaling all your thoughts and feelings <\/span>that<\/span> arise during your trading.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Keep journaling before and after every trade and try to be mindful of all connection(s) <\/span>among<\/span> t<\/span>he situations, thoughts, emotions and actions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And if you are still struggling with this, do not hesitate to contact <\/span>your<\/span> coach or somebody who is able to<\/span> help you. <\/span><\/p>\n

Being mindful in your trading is key to mastering trading psychology. Be aware of your emotions and thoughts while you trade.<\/p>\n
