Patrick sees trading as an opportunity to recover from misfortune in a business venture. We believe that he will not only recover but makes a lot more :).

Tell us something about you. How did you start trading?
I started trading as a response to requiring a secondary/primary income after losing out badly in a business venture. I wish I had found it sooner!
Can you briefly describe your trading strategy?
After a number of years trying endless strategies, I have settled for simple is best. I used a MACD as my source information, usually on a 4 hr chart and also using Weekly and Daily charts for context. Fibonacci also plays a key part.
What did you do well?
I like the process, very helpful for the key ingredients of patience and solid Risk Management. The only stressful period was towards the end when I thought I might run out of time, but I got over the line with a day to spare.
What do you need to improve?
I am still getting used to the idea of trading with weekly cut off, but I think I am there now. I still can learn to let trades run a little and moving my stop losses too aggressively has caught me out, but I am learning to keep confidence in my analysis.
Was the Challenge helpful?
Yes, it is a big help and a good discipline.
Would you recommend Challenge to other traders?
Yes, it is a very good sorting process.
