New month, new FTMO traders

We are entering into the month of March and yet again we would like to welcome our new FTMO traders. This time we have 2 new female traders, which is not so common in this industry 🙂 All these traders got funded by us after proving their qualities in the Challenge and Verification and we wish them a lot of success, consistency and profitable trades.

Trader Krysthel from Canada

About me:

I discovered FOREX trading about two years ago and I was immediately interested to learn how to trade which led me to attend a private school here in Toronto. From that point, I began trading on my own based on what I’ve learned from school and from my mentor.

How do I trade?

I am a Swing Trader where I keep my positions for one or more trading days. I also sometimes do Intraday trading, depending on which currency I’m looking at as I base my trades on Supply and Demand zones in the market.

What went well?

The Challenge/Verification has been an amazing experience. As a trader, I was able to see which areas I had to improve in and what strategies to work on towards efficient results.

What to improve?

I was able to improve on managing my risks and to be more disciplined.

Has the Challenge helped me?

Yes absolutely! The Challenge helped my trading skills to be more effective especially on constantly making profits and improving on my risk management.

Do I recommend the Challenge?

I would definitely recommend the Challenge to other traders out there who are aspiring to be a full-time trader. Not only will you be able to earn more but the Challenge will certainly help enhance your trading skills.

Trader Bandy from the United States – being funded after 1 year of trading

About me:

I started trading exactly a year ago. It’s been one heck of a journey learning a new skill on your own but it’s been so worth the time and investment.

How do I trade?

My trading strategy typically revolves around utilizing trendlines and break and retest patterns.

What went well?

I think it was a bit more challenging than anticipated but I’m happy I made it through.

What to improve?

Still working on minimizing my drawdowns.

Has the Challenge helped me?

Yes, it definitely helped me learn a lot about risk management and made me a more disciplined trader.

Do I recommend Challenge?

Definitely.

Trader Nikolay from the Channel Islands

About me:

Hello, I have been interested in trading since 2013. A friend of mine showed me a trading platform and since then the financial markets have been a big part of my life.

How do I trade?

My trading strategy involves mainly looking for opportunities, when the market is ranging, following the price movement by comparing the traded instrument to correlated instruments, observing divergences between them and respecting support and resistance levels.

What went well?

The Challenge and Verification steps helped me a lot, as they provided an extra layer of objectives that I have to follow. I had some bad trades due to poor judgement. In the same time experimenting with larger lots required some psychological adjustment.

What to improve?

Mainly I need to improve my routine. During the Challenge and Verification, I found out that there are specific hours that I have to avoid trading or wait for the market to provide me with better entry points. Moreover, I have to pay higher attention to the leverage that I use as my traded instruments are correlated and it is easy over-leverage resulting in higher loss or ruining a perfect trade by adjusting SL/TP parameters.

Has the Challenge helped me?

Yes, definitely the Challenge was helpful for me. It provided me with a specific goal that I have to reach, objectives that I have to follow and at the same time have enough trading freedom.

Do I recommend the Challenge?

Yes, the Challenge is a perfect opportunity for anybody feeling that it is their time to start or expand their trading career. My recommendation to everybody that decides to take the Challenge is to take their time trading, concentrate on their trade statistics and the rest will come naturally.

Another great trader from the United States – meet Ryan

About me:

I started trading when I was introduced to a friend and my Mentor. Also, I’ve had ups and downs with large corporations that have led me to the path of wanting to work for myself and enjoy the freedoms that come with that.

How do I trade?

I use a custom Fibonacci retracement strategy as well as a market profile indicator for confirmation.

What went well?

It was a challenge, and a brilliant way to provide an opportunity for those who are serious about their trading.

What to improve?

Always patience and controlling emotions, which over the path of my learning and trials I have come to be better and better with. Yet can always use improvement.

Has the Challenge helped me?

Yes, in a manner of confidence that it has allowed me and hope for a better chance to practice my discipline.

Do I recommend the Challenge?

I would HIGHLY recommend the Challenge to anyone who wants to take a chance in their own future and grab life by the beautiful opportunities that it presents!
