{"id":2904,"date":"2026-10-05T14:42:42","date_gmt":"2026-10-05T14:42:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ftmo.com\/?post_type=trading-updates&#038;p=696682"},"modified":"2026-10-08T11:01:03","modified_gmt":"2026-10-08T11:01:03","slug":"trading-update-8-oct-2026","status":"publish","type":"trading-updates","link":"https:\/\/ftmo.com\/au\/blog\/trading-updates\/trading-update-8-oct-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Trading Update | 8 Oct 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All times hereafter are expressed in MetaTrader platform time \u2014 <strong>GMT+3<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-best-day-rule-is-replaced-by-the-consistency-rule\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Best Day Rule is replaced by the Consistency rule<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From <strong>Monday<\/strong>, <strong>12 October 2026<\/strong>, <strong>9<\/strong>:<strong>00<\/strong>, the <strong>Consistency rule<\/strong> will replace the <strong>Best Day Rule<\/strong> for all new orders of the <strong>1-Step FTMO Challenge<\/strong> created on or after this date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The same replacement applies to all <strong>FTMO Accounts (1-Step)<\/strong> merged on or after <strong>12 October 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Accounts from orders created before <strong><strong>12 October 2026<\/strong>, 9<\/strong>:<strong><strong>00<\/strong>,<\/strong> stay under the <strong>Best Day Rule<\/strong>. This doesn&#8217;t change when you pass the FTMO Challenge, withdraw a Reward, or receive a subsequent FTMO Account as a result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong style=\"color:#000 !important\">How the two rules differ<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>Best Day Rule<\/strong> compares your Best Day with your <strong>Positive Days&#8217; Profit<\/strong> only. Positive Days&#8217; Profit only counts the P&amp;L from days that closed with a positive daily P&amp;L.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>Consistency rule<\/strong> compares your Best Day with your <strong>total profit<\/strong>. Total profit counts the P&amp;L from all trading days, including days that closed with a loss.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both rules measure your Best Day against the profit you make. The goal is to verify that your trading approach is consistent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Neither rule can be breached. If you don&#8217;t meet the consistency requirement, you simply keep trading until you do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong style=\"color:#000 !important\">Why we&#8217;re making this change<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We&#8217;re making this change to more closely align the rules&#8217; logic across our offering. The Consistency rule is stricter, and we want to be clear about that. Consistent performance is built across all trading days, and the days that go against you are part of that picture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The full Consistency rule description will be on the <a href=\"https:\/\/ftmo.com\/en\/trading-objectives\/\">Trading Objectives<\/a> page once the change takes effect. You&#8217;ll also see your Consistency Rule results in <strong>Account MetriX<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-weekend-maintenance\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Weekend Maintenance<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will perform scheduled maintenance on all trading platforms (<strong>MT4<\/strong>, <strong>MT5<\/strong>, <strong>TradingView<\/strong>, and <strong>cTrader<\/strong>) on <strong>Saturday<\/strong>, <strong>10 Oct 2026<\/strong>, between <strong>10:00<\/strong> and <strong>12:00<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong style=\"color:#000 !important\"><strong>IT Maintenance<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On <strong>Saturday<\/strong>, <strong>10 Oct 2026<\/strong>, between <strong>10:00<\/strong> and <strong>11:30<\/strong>, our IT teams will perform infrastructure optimisation of supporting systems, which will cause disruptions to some parts of our services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Client Area will be inaccessible or experience disruptions, resulting in temporary unavailability of services such as <strong>Account MetriX<\/strong>, <strong>KYC<\/strong>, <strong>payouts<\/strong>, <strong>billing<\/strong>, <strong>new order purchases<\/strong>, and others.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Automatic email communication may experience delays during the maintenance period, but all emails will be sent once the maintenance is complete.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Our web pages will be operational.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Our chat and email support will be available during this time, but due to system disruptions, their ability to assist with account- or order-specific queries will be limited.
